A mathematical model for fall armyworm management on maize biomass

Abstract Fall armyworm ( Spodoptera frugiperda ), a highly destructive and fast spreading agricultural pest native to North South America, poses real threat global food security. In this paper, explore the dynamics implications of fall outbreak in field maize biomass, we propose new dynamical system for biomass interaction via Caputo fractional-order operator, which is not only nonlocal operator but also contains all characteristics concerned with memory system. We define basic reproduction number, represents average number newborns produced by one individual female moth during its life span. establish that threshold quantity, determines persistence extinction pest. Finally, simulate using Adam–Bashforth–Moulton method illustrate main results.
